Invisible Scars

Days of past have spawned their shadows of doubt

Forming future broke hollow bridges

Eyes that rolled -while others turn away

Torches lit –stones thrown

Bringing unwanted burns

Forged smiles

Stacking on life’s young fragile tiles

Days spiral

Serpents slither intertwining -twisting shades of gray haze

Stars fade away

As you look, hope and dream for a sunny spring day

 

Empty eyes casting spells of day’s illusions

As darkness crawls

Recalling shallow whispers

Silently walking through sorrow’s lane

Passing Cake Battered Avenue

Ashamed, beaten, bruised alive

Headed for sanctuaries path

Covered by tainted souls

Shadows crying unwanted lies

Dim lights glow as you shower

In hopes of days soot vanishes

Swilling down the careless pit that hisses without a kiss
