Awards to be dealt with

While I am working on a new original piece, I will display part of it:

{ Days of past have spawned their shadows of doubt

Forming broken hollow bridges

Eyes that rolled, turning away

Bringing unwanted burns }……

I recently received a comment of being awarded “The Blogger Recognition Award.”

I have two awards that I need to address now, from:

The lovely An Artsy Appetite
http://anartsyappetite.com/2015/09/03/be-the-light-the-starlight-blogger-award/

And Morgan a new friend whom we have a common admiration for Filicia Day from The Web Series “The Guild” that can be watched via Netflix. Morgan’s from
https://rosemills.wordpress.com/category/computer-science/              I will get to these awards.

That is not the only reason for this post. On Morgans site under the menu tab  “Geek”, there is a page titled, “Computer Science” > What I found was the  Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. I found this interesting only because when I worked for Wells Fargo they gave us this test to determine are personality types and how to handle us I assume. Anyway, I decided to take the test just for the giggles while I wait for the Vikings to play at Noon CST today and to see how accurate the online version would be.

Personality TypeHere are my results.

89%
INTROVERTED
67%
INTUITIVE
47%
THINKING
49%
JUDGING
33%
TURBULENT

Code: INTJ-T (“THE ARCHITECT”)
Role: Analyst
Strategy: Constant Improvement
“Architects are imaginative and strategic thinkers, with a plan for everything.” “It’s lonely at the top, and being one of the rarest and most strategically capable personality types, INTJs know this all too well. INTJs form just two percent of the population, and women of this personality type are especially rare, forming just 0.8% of the population – it is often a challenge for them to find like-minded individuals who are able to keep up with their relentless intellectualism and chess-like maneuvering. People with the INTJ personality type are imaginative yet decisive, ambitious yet private, amazingly curious, but they do not squander their energy.”

From the test that I took five to six years ago while at Wells Fargo and the test that I just took this morning, I found that they are virtually the same outcome. Not much has changed except a few in percentage wise. I am an Introvert, there is no denying that. However, I would like to point out that the judgment factor has decreased since I last took that test. I was very judgemental in the past but as I matured more, burying the divorce emotions, I have become less judgmental in life to a degree. The turbulent factor has also decreased, that is a good thing, I am less emotional and found ways to manage those emotions.

“imaginative yet decisive, ambitious yet private, amazingly curious, but they do not squander their energy” That is me to a T. I am decisive by nature I have grand illusions of ambitions, I am very curious as well and I do not like wasting what energy I have in my fuel tank.

I did find one part of the article that pertained to me interesting.

“INTJ Subordinates: INTJs are independent people, and they quickly become frustrated if they find themselves pushed into tightly defined roles that limit their freedom. With the direction of a properly liberal manager, INTJs will establish themselves in a position of expertise, completing their work not with the ambition of managerial promotion, but for its own intrinsic merit. INTJs require and appreciate firm, logical managers who are able to direct efforts with competence, deliver criticism when necessary, and back up those decisions with sound reason.”

This is probly why I have had so many jobs in the past, I don’t like being confined or pushed in a corner that limits my freedom and still is a very integral part of me. Maybe that is why I don’t like being tethered to a phone? Food for thought anyway.

      1. I’ve taken personality tests for companies but never knew or understood the results. One boss told me she liked me right away because I had the highest percentage she had ever seen (98%), but I had no idea what that meant lol I was just happy to have her hire me:p

  1. Greetings fellow INTJ. Meyers Briggs has been a highly respected Jungian personality indicator for decades. They use this test in most professional fields, and psychologists who specialize in focusing on talent placement use this indicator almost exclusively.
As “architects” we are a bit different than most, but we can also listen the best to get things done most effectively.
Congrats on your rewards, and “keep listening”. You have re-blogged some wonderful posts, and your high J keeps you on the look-out for talent. You don’t have the big Ego to hold anyone back, because you know your own merit.
    Congrats again!
