Animal Lovers – Seeking Help

Reisters, rios, Colusa ca,
Rick, Bob, Edward and me. California, Aunt Sheila’s funeral

I am pleading a case on behalf of my cousin Bob Reister who lives in Los Banos, Ca.

His best friend needs an operation, the feature photo used is his Dog named Bam.  After two days they were able to get Bam upright. At first he was told it would cost four thousand dollars, but then luckily with a second opinion and a smart veterinarian that office was able to to get it down to two thousand three hundred due to unnecessary lab work. The breed: Weimaraner.

Bob is a Veteran USAF and worked as a computer system/server administrator for twenty three years .His wife Linda is retired.

His Facebook page is here: https://www.facebook.com/wildman.reister to verify that he is real. Never knew him to open his page to  the public…

Maybe prettypoodlesandpets might have an idea to help my cousin out.

  1. Hi–my Belgian Malinois, Atina, will be having major surgery at Colorado State University on this coming Tuesday. It is a very major surgery, and it will not cure her. It is a “wedge” biopsy of her kidney. It will tell me what’s really the cause, and approximately how long she has to live, because even though she’s 18 months old, her kidneys are in bad shape.

Don’t let the letters after my name fool you. I’m not a rich doctor. I’m a disabled one, since 2000. But I do know, from sad experience, how to get “vet work” done even if you can’t pay for it right away.

The first and best thing is to go to a highly respected veterinary teaching hospital. You really get the best care that way. And it tends to be less expensive than a private vet hospital because teaching hospitals have endowments.

Next is credit. There are special loan programs for funding pet expenses. Applications are always at the front desk.

I took advantage of a no interest for 18 months credit card deal. I have no idea how I’m going to pay it back, but that comes later so I won’t burn up energy that Atina needs right now.

I hope everything comes out well. It’s so good of you to help your friends!

    1. I am sorry to hear about Atina-18 months still a puppy. I thank you for that advice, I should have thought of that with Dental and other areas at colleges or universities providing discounts for services to humans, I did not know they did that for our 4 legged friends. I will pass this on to my cousin today. Thank you Laura.
