Simply, be yourself

I found another new site, the author is anonymous but this was good advice.

So many people try to tell you who you should be. But, here’s a secret! If you’re yourself, you’ll be more happy. If you are who others want you to be, they’re stealing your happiness. It’s hard to be yourself in a world so judgmental. People always tell you that you’re doing it wrong, you’re not good enough, you’re ugly. Honey, wipe away your tears. Wipe off your makeup. What you look like does not define who you are. The amount of money you have does not define who you are. You know what defines who you are? You. The reason why people judge is because they feel bad about themselves. So the next time someone tells you you’re doing something wrong, compliment them. Let’s work together and make a more accepting world. Not one where other people tell you who you are.

In The Dark Tunnel

Here is another poem that you might like.

Pleiadian Star Healer

In the dark tunnel;

of your heart

I see you

surrounded by fire.

The Rose you hold

wither into vines

that wrap your fingers–my love.

I die slowly;

deflated lungs,

because I only breathe

when you exhale.

I fight the dark shadows

to embrace you.

I grasp feverishly at the wind;

for eternity–just to kiss you.

The ache and passion

can bring a strong man

to his knees;

the ground that can swallow

you whole.

I stand, I stare, I wait;

unafraid of the darkness

that lies ahead.

With my love

as a beacon of light

into the tunnel I go.

Farewell parade Sail 2015

Most of us probably already know who HENK GOOSSENS PHOTOGRAPHY is, but for those who do not, if you want to see some great photos then this is one of those sites. Now, there are so many good photos here but I chose this because I am partial to ships, after all my Dad was a WWII, Korea and Panama vet. I just love ships.
You can also see his other works here:

Alright, so as I was finishing up with one that I just reblogged, I noticed that a Blair King liked one of the ones I reblogged, so naturally I had to take a peek and I am glad I did. Read this poem and see if you come to the same conclusion as I did.

I sit back and watch
as the clouds glide over the sun.
Wondering how something so bright,
so powerful,
can be muffled by a mere fog.

But isn’t that what happens to us all?

We control the gravity
of our own weighty worlds
and dominate our space,
as our thoughts revolve around us.

What happens when our force is blocked?

Our light begins to fade
in the eyes of the observer,
but behind the haze,
we continue to shine.

How is Your Blog Traffic Doing? Tips for Taking a Break

I found this site just a little bit ago The curator/author of the page if you will is Terri Webster Schrandt and I must admit it is a refreshing site, this post talks about proper etiquettes when taking a break from your blog and very sound advice at that. I have seen Ritu do this as well, you can find Ritu’s site here:

Thoughts before I drift off to sleep

This is a good read! Also within this site you’ll find the struggles of coming out.

I lay here
wishing this sheet
wrapped around me were
your arms
and this deafening
silence was filled
with the gentle caress
of your breath
yet all I am left
with is this paralyzing
wave of emptiness
and the
to find
comfort in this
relentless instability

This one is a delight to read! I found this site thanks to Dr.Rex at
This person has another one that I thought was good too entitled, “Kingdoms of choice”
They are both worth the read! Short yet powerful!

You do not know me
Or the road I travel
Born a gambler
With the deck from hell
Playing the cards
The original dealt me
Poker faced, cold as ice
Devoid of emotion
I sit at the table
Not tell or distinguishing be trail
Play them hard
Keep them honest
The sharks and demons
Fall apart
Far on journeys
Changes of direction
Never swaying true too self
People come and people go
Never a glance or sombre fair well
Those that stay have lived a story
Intersected and entwined of my own
We are true friends family close
Never further than dialling tone
Raise for future ready to battle
Party hard and evils scattered
I am me a wondrous soul
never deflected
Battle scared an honour to bare
Free soul and stronger of nature
I am my self and proud to be so

A quick minute depending on how hard you hold

I found this poem and to me describes the bar scene well. The part that I liked was at the end the last three lines.

Mizpellt wurdz

We could stay here forever

or we could go back to the bar

and drink a little more

with our elbows on the top

of our nest of peanuts

and piss

in wrong corners where

no one was looking

until you did

directed me to the washroom

and to you in turn

a romance that wasn’t romantic

but was just a place

where we went

when we wanted

to find a place

worth finding

if only for a little while

that lasted a long time

We’ve come undone

by doing what we’ve

always come to do

which was find love

in one another

that was strong enough

to give another pause

and wonder

what it would be like

to be us

and to have you

the way I did

before they did

and before you did too

I’m wasting my time

by looking at my watch
